Acts is the continuation of the story that begin in the Injil according to Luke. Luke (pbuh) is the author of Acts, a name which is short for “Acts of the Apostles.” Here we find the story of how the early followers of ‘Isa al-Masih spread the message of the Injil to many nations and established local congregations of believers. Acts tells the story of the birth of the ummah of ‘Isa al-Masih resulting in the first congregation in Jerusalem, and carries on through many lands right to the capital city of the Roman Empire, Rome. The main character in Acts chapters 1 to 12 is the apostle Peter (pbuh). In Acts chapter 13 to 28, the main character is the apostle Paul (pbuh).
