Nehemiah

Thirteen years after  Uzair (pbuh) leads a group of Jews back to Palestine from exile, a man named Nehemiah becomes aware that things are not going well in Jerusalem. Nehemiah (pbuh) served as the king’s cupbearer in the palace of the king of Persia. But he is also a Jew, and is disturbed to hear that Jerusalem is still in ruins from the destruction that took place many years earlier at the hands of the Babylonians. Nehemiah (pbuh) receives permission from the king of Persia to go to Jerusalem and lead in the work of restoration. Uzair‘s book also dealt with restoration, particularly that of the Holy House and its ministry of worship. However, Nehemiah is concerned more about rebuilding the city wall of Jerusalem, and the daily work of governing its inhabitants.
