Luke

This portion of the holy Injil takes its name from its author, Luke (pbuh). By training Luke was a doctor and he became a travelling companion for the apostle Paul (pbuh) after he became a follower of ‘Isa al-Masih. Luke (pbuh) also wrote Acts, which picks up the story right where Luke finishes. This section of the Injil is very important. If it is read along with Acts the reader can gain a complete story from the life of ‘Isa al-Masih right up to the establishment of the ummah of ‘Isa al-Masih in local congregations. Luke sets forth ‘Isa al-Masih as the Saviour of the world–the only one through whom forgiveness of sins is available.
