2 Samuel

2 Samuel begins where 1 Samuel ends and is an account of part of the history of Bani-Israel. The main character is Prophet Dawud (pbuh), who reigned as the second king of Israel. The first ten chapters recount King Dawud‘s rise to power. Chapter 11 and 12 record the unfortunate event of Dawud‘s fall into sin. Thereafter, a great deal of 2 Samuel gives the account of troubles faced by King Dawud in his later years. For more, see 1 Samuel Introduction.
